After nearly two years in my new hospital, I am very satisfied with the fact that we chose SSM
Construction to build our dream facility. The decision was made after meeting with Steve
and speaking to two other local veterinarians who were very satisfied with their constructed
facilities by SSM Construction.
From the very start, Steve and his superintendent Loyd were very thorough and accommodating. We
met several times going over the initial construction drawings and they showed us ways to cut costs in
the initial bidding process. Through careful evaluation of the plans prior to commencing construction,
they found some mistakes in the framing plan that would have been very costly if not discovered during
planning and saved significant headaches during construction.
During construction they were careful to stay within our budget and recommend ways to make needed
changes in a cost effective manner. The quality of construction and their supervision of sub-contractors
were excellent addressing any and all concerns as they would arise. Following completion of the facility,
they were very attentive in completing punch lists and other items in need of attention.
After two years in our facility, I still can't believe how beautiful our hospital turned out. I would not
hesitate to use Steve and SSM Construction if I were to build another. He has my 100%
recommendation.

I have been involved in four construction projects so far. I built two homes and one
previous dental office. Steve Mayo built my second dental office.
The previous three construction projects had left me with much apprehension about
another project. There were always hassles, cost overruns, delays, etc. Nothing seemed
to got as planned. In fact when I built my last house I ended up suing the contractor,
spending over $60,000 in legal fees and putting that contractor out of business.
So when it came time to do another project, I was definitely worried about how it would

Mr. Steve Mayo of SSM Construction has completed a remodeling of a physical therapy clinic.
Besides some of the usual items done on a remodeling job, this job had some special requirements such as a special plumbing
and electrical needs for certain equipment, cabinets/countertops, and Toll-O-Fect paint. I contacted out the A/C and roof
separately. Mr. Mayo worked well with my other contractors and put out a special effort to help coordinated everything. When
I was looking for ways to cut cost in one area, Mr. Mayo showed me a alternative way to do my countertops that was not only
functional, but cost effective too.
The workmanship was excellent. This job was on an extremely tight time schedule, and was completed on time. All paperwork
(permits, change orders, draws, etc.) were handled professionally and efficiently. The small punch list I had at the end of
the job was completed satisfactory within a few days. I will definitely call Mr. Mayo to bid on any future jobs I may have.
I would highly recommend him for doing any finish-out or remodeling work.
